The Government’s Obligation to Help the Needy
There is a lot of debate surrounding the government’s obligation to help those in need. Some people believe that it is the government’s responsibility to take care of its citizens, while others believe that this should be left up to charity organizations and individuals. In this blog post, we will discuss both sides of this argument and come to a conclusion about what we believe.
On one hand, some people argue that the government has a responsibility to take care of its citizens. They believe that it is the government’s job to ensure that everyone has access to basic needs like food, shelter, and healthcare. They also argue that the government should provide assistance to those who are unable to help themselves.
On the other hand, there are those who believe that the government should not be responsible for helping those in need. They argue that charity organizations and individuals are better equipped to handle this task. They also believe that the government should not be involved in providing assistance because it could create dependency and discourage self-sufficiency.
So, what do we believe? We think that the answer lies somewhere in between these two extremes. We believe that the government has a responsibility to provide assistance to those who are truly in need, but we also believe that charity organizations and individuals play an important role in helping those in need. We think that it is important for the government to provide assistance, but we also think that it is important for people to be self-sufficient whenever possible.

That question would be answered in one of two ways. One way, if you are a Progressive. Another way, if you are Conservative or Libertarian.
The truth is America has taken care of the poor and disadvantaged ever since the beginning primarily through religion and more recently through progressive programs administered by the state.
Progressives argue that the need is greater than the charitable sector can supply. So by default government must step in to fill the need.
The real problem is no one can really help an individual out of poverty other than the person himself. It should come as no surprise then that government cannot solve the problem of poverty
So the situation is a Progressive dream. Government is an inadequate choice to help poor people, but the list of progressive solutions is endless. And government is a terrible choice to fund entitlements because the only thing they know is force, but it provides Progressives with justification to increase government power.
The real answer is to reinvigorate the Charitable sector.
